• falling asleep to the sound of rain outside my window
• flowering apple trees

Saturday:

• taking some me time after a long week
• a night of pizza and wine

Sunday:

• there’s something so romantic about sunday brunch
• the way coffee shop aromas cling to your clothes even after you leave
• basking in the words of maya angelou

Monday:

• a beautiful morning drive through the berkshires
• being reminded of roro every time the train comes through

Today:

• orange juice…the kind with lots of pulp
• breakfast for dinner
• (ha. this whole day is just food and sleep)

Thursday:

• falling in love with a new show (oh gosh, not another one)…rizzoli and isles
• getting to know my coworkers a little better
• having a group of really awesome patients

Friday:

• watching the kitties get cozy in their new home
• old photographs
• seeing all the important people in my life together 

Tuesday

• ryan
• the view of albany at night
• first ice cream of the season
• my apartment is starting to look/feel like a home

Wednesday

• spending a cozy morning/afternoon all naked in bed
• making it to and from castleton without a gps
• every song i listen to  just heals and breaks my heart (in the best way)

• giving my apartment a vigorous scrub down
• windows. feeling the warm breeze all afternoon
• music that makes your heart drop into your stomach

I have just experienced the worst couple days in a long time, maybe ever.  It’s always so hard to tell when things are fresh.  But somebody told me that the harder things are, the more important it is to bring out the positives in the midst of it all.  So here we are.

Friday

• working at a job with respectful and caring people
• being part of a family that can find laughter in the most difficult times
• having a place to go when i just can’t be at home

Saturday

• beefing up my personal library after a church book sale
• finding the perfect diner near my new apartment
• a night full of tears and booze that turned out to be just what i needed

Today

• peach pie from my favourite bakery
• knowing that somebody else understands what goes on inside my head…even in the dark and seedy places
• spending the day in bed with my lil darlings (meow)

• catnaps in the afternoon
• all afternoon

• grocery shopping…the kind where you can leisurely walk about all the aisles because you’re not on anybody’s schedule
• cooking something new without a recipe
• the fact that even my most antisocial of cats are extra snuggly when they know i am sad

My wonderful, but chilly, day in the city has left me with the sniffles.
(and super lonely)
